  1. I don't see a picture of my favorite character. Can you make that?
    Perhaps, but you would need to submit pictures of the character for reference.

  2. What if I can't think of the character's name?
    You can e-mail funakupo and see if it can be figured out by what you know.

  3. Can you make Stormtrooper armor or a Bubblegum Crisis hardsuit?
    Sorry, funakupo cannot make vacuum-formed armor.

  4. Do you do embroidery?
    Yes we do!
  5. What type of sewing machine do you use?
    We use the Bernina Activa 130, the Pfaff Hobbylock 4752, and the Babylock Ellageo 3.

  6. Can I enter a costume contest wearing one of your costumes?
    Check the rules of the contest. Many contests have rules against costumes you didn't make yourself. If you can enter and you win something, we'd love to know!

  7. How much does your clothing cost?
    It depends on what it is, what materials are used/wanted, and how long it will take to make. Costs can vary significantly. For example, a Babylon5 jacket would cost a lot less than an elaborate wedding dress with a lot of lace. Once you submit a request, funakupo will provide you with an estimate.

  8. How do I get a quote?
    Click to the ordering page and fill in the form as indicated. Fill out the appropriate measurements for the items ordered. (See the measuring page to learn how to take measurements.) It is recommended that you have the measurements taken by someone else, so that you can stand still and get an accurate measurement.

  9. How long does it take?
    Most orders take 6-8 weeks for delivery from the time your order has been processed. Your order is processed only after we have received measurements, fabric choices, and payment. Rush orders can be accommodated. See the next question for more information about rush orders.

  10. What if I need something fast?
    You can place a rush order (under 6 weeks), but it is subject to a $100 rush fee. This fee is partly used to pay for faster shipments on any necessary materials and partly to pay for all the caffeine needed to create the order in a shorter period of time.
    Note that some orders are so complex that it's not possible to create them in under six weeks...even with a rush fee.
    The absolute cut off for any order is three weeks. If you need it faster than that, you're out of luck.

  11. Can I cancel my order?
    If you wish to cancel an order before payment has been made, just reply to the invoice stating that you wish to cancel. However, MADE-TO-ORDER ITEMS CANNOT BE CANCELLED ONCE THE ITEMS HAVE GONE INTO PRODUCTION!

  12. How do I send payment?
    Payment in full is required before any order is processed. Please contact funakupo if special payment methods are necessary. You can pay through PayPal with a credit card or electronic check by submitting payment to stuff@funakupo.com. You can also mail a personal check or money order. All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars.

  13. How do you ship out costumes?
    Funakupo.com normally ships items via USPS within the United States and DHL otherwise. International and overnight delivery are available by special request. Contact via e-mail for details. Such delivery will be at an extra expense to the customer. Any additional taxes, duties, or tariffs are the responsibility of the customer. Funakupo is not responsible or liable for non-delivery, delivery delay, or damages caused by a transportation company, weather conditions, etc.
    The MINIMUM cost of shipping and handling (with delivery confirmation and insurance) for shipments in the US is $25.00.

  14. Can I return my costume?
    All items have a No Return policy. Custom-made items are not returnable.
    If, for some reason, your costume does not fit properly, adjustments can be made.
